Product Description
Product name: Frame level, fitter level
There are two types of level: frame level and bar level. They are mainly used to check the straightness of various machine tools and other equipment, the correctness of the horizontal and vertical positions of installation, and can also check small inclination angles.
Instructions for using a frame level:
When measuring, wait until the bubbles are completely stationary before taking a reading. The indicated value on the level is the inclination value based on one meter, which can be calculated using the following equation:
Actual tilt value=scale indication x L x number of deviation grids
For example, the scale reading is 0.02mm/L=200mm, with a deviation of 2 grids.
So: actual tilt value=0.02/1000 × 200 × 2=0.008mm
Zero adjustment method:
Place the level on a stable flat plate and wait for the bubbles to stabilize before reading a, then rotate the instrument 180 degrees and place it in its original position to read b. The zero position error of the instrument is 1/2 (a-b); Then, loosen the fixing screws on the side of the spirit level, insert an 8mm hex wrench into the eccentric adjuster, rotate it, and perform zero adjustment. At this point, if it is found that the instrument is tilted 5 degrees forward and backward, and the movement of the level bubble is greater than 1/2 of the scale value, it is necessary to rotate the left and right adjusters again until the bubble does not move with the inclined surface of the instrument. Afterwards, it is necessary to check whether the zero position has moved. If the zero position does not move, tighten the fixing screw and adjust it.
